Many of you knew George Baer. Many did not have that opportunity. George was a friend to everyone in the dance community and a very special friend to the ABA.

In addition to the many items he donated for the purpose of pleasing others, he exuded a certain warmth, wit, and friendship he offered anyone willing to accept. His spirit promoted peace, harmony, and love amongst all of us dancers. Never did I hear a negative thought from this kind man.

Always energetic and enthusiastic and promoting good will. I am proud he was my friend.

To be associated with his spirit is an honor I will treasure always. I thank those involved in my selection for this award from the depths of my heart. My goal is that we all will strive to keep this spirit alive.
