George Baer Award

This year’s George Baer Award for outstanding contributions to the success of the ABA was presented to Bill White of St. Louis, MO, member of the West County Swing Dance Club. The award was presented in September at the “Rollin’ on the River” ABA convention in St. Louis.
Bill is a past President of WCSDC and is largely responsible for its being the large and successful club it is today. Bill has been WCSDC’s Director to the ABA since the beginning of the ABA. Through his encouragement, WCSDC has hosted an ABA Convention every year since 1997, this year being their 10th convention.
The George Baer Award was initiated in 2005 and its past recipients have been the Cincinnati Bop Club and Gary and Charlotte Chaney.
