Bop on the Lake

September 28-30
Jim and Virgina Stantons

All of the 425 who attended Bop on the Lake in Hot Springs, Arkansas were seeing “stars” this year, as the Little Rock Bop Club put on their own rendition of “Dancing with the Stars”. Our “stars” were Gary and Charlotte Chaney (Imperial Swing), Team Joe (West Coast Swing), Bruce and Patty Kass (Imperial Swing) and our very own Jim and Virginia Stanton (East Coast Swing). The performances from all of our “stars” were top notch! An extra special treat was a huge jam session where all of the attendees had a chance to “Dance with the Stars” on Friday night!

As always, great tunes rolled all weekend from Scotty Mack, Tom and Edie Polzin, Larry Wheelis and Joanne Johnson. In an unbelievable turn of events, not only was Split the Pot the most successful in Bop on the Lake history, but the same couple won on Friday and Saturday night!

However, dancing is the order of the weekend. Morning workshops are held on Friday and Saturday hosted by our “stars”. Afternoon dancing is always available and of course, evening dancing and showcases by our “stars”. After a full day of shopping, dining and dancing, you can relax in the Arlington’s pool and hot tub which holds the water from the hot springs or stroll the nature walk that takes you by the hot springs.

Bop on the Lake is an unforgettable experience, and we are looking forward to seeing you there next year!
