From the Editor’s Desk
Welcome to the ABA news, communicating with and supporting the member clubs of the American Bop Association. This newsletter is your forum for discussing ABA events, activities, policies, business, the how and why we did that, and just plain old fashioned “pass the word” concerning the ABA and your club.
Topic of the Quarter
I asked the following questions for the Topic of the Quarter for this newsletter.
| What value do see in having an ABA Newsletter? | |
| Should it continue? | |
| Where should the articles come from? |
There were two responses, one from out current President, Jim Laux, and the second from Cal Shaw, a past ABA President. They both have some great comments and I encourage everyone to read their responses.
At the ABA Director and Club President's meeting there was some discussion as what the ABA could do or make available to the individual members of our various dance clubs to make them not only more aware of the ABA, but more importantly make them feel a part of the ABA Family. This is not an easy question to answer and could be a great topic for all of us to explore in the next newsletter.
Other Articles
Tommy Roberts submitted an article called “My Two-Bits Worth“ in response to a previous Topic of the Quarter. Two clubs submitted articles about their party. The is an article submitted by Lana Bloom concerning a pre-cruise party in Nashville, and finally Cal Shaw provides us with an article about Apathy.
Thank-you, Jim
