Topic of the Quarter
ABA Newsletter
To answer your questions for this quarter is really very simple.
The ABA news letter is very critical to the membership that takes the time to read it. Should it continue – absolutely. Who should the articles come from – any ABA, officer or ABA club member.
Now comes the interesting part. How do you get more people to read the newsletter ie. actual club members. They are the driving force behind the Directors and the final influence, as a rule, as to whether a club stays in the ABA or actually joins in the first place.
As you know Jim, getting articles submitted is a monumental task. It has always been my opinion that the Directors have been lax, at best, in getting articles in. That has also been the case with the Officers as well. While I could never find an explicit answer as to why, it just never happened. My only suggestion might be to send your article request many times to each Director and possibly to each of their newsletter editors. Perhaps the editors would put some requests for articles in their newsletters. It might bring some articles.....?
