Dance Club Challenge

Tampa Bay Beach Boppers is issuing a dance club challenge to all ABA and ACSC dance clubs to send dancers to Beach Boogie 2006 (August 24-27 on the Gulf of Mexico’s beautiful beaches at St. Petersburg, Florida) to compete in their “Whip Me, Swing Me, Shag Me” Jack ’n’ Jill dance contest. 
Judges for the contest will be Hall of Fame Dance Pro, Debra Kee, and Swing Dance Pros, Lisa Marion, Johnny Permar, Cindy Meyer and Jimmy Formelio. The Club with the most entries wins a Diplomatic Prize and prizes will be awarded to the top three couples! The dance contest should prove to be veeeerrry entertaining, so send your dancers on down!
On Thursday morning (August 24th) a “free” casino cruise is being offered to the first 200 individuals who register with Jacki LaBianca. The cruise includes free buffet, free well drinks while gaming (Blackjack, Craps, Roulette, Poker, to Big Jackpot progressives, from nickel slots to $100 machines).
There are lots of workshops scheduled for Friday and Saturday, too, with Mike & Debbe Lapina, Gloria Medel & Beverly Solazzo, all from Chicago; Steve & Kathy Day from Boiling Springs, SC; and Lee Holton of Tampa. Visiting DJs include Nashville’s Doug & Sandy Brown; Andrews, SC’s John Smith; Jacksonville’s Tony Gonzalez; and Tampa’s Jane Harrington. All hotel registrants get to attend a welcome reception on Friday afternoon hosted by the Sirata Beach Resort, and there are Friday/Saturday noon hospitalities.
