A very heartfelt thank you Great Lakes Swing Dance Club for the cruise tickets I won last August at the Frankenmuth Swing Fest. Pam Kozan & I recently spent 7 days in paradise on the 1^st Annual American Bop Association Swing Dance Caribbean Cruise. There were about 290 swing dancers from all across the country on board.

The ABA activities included two 2 hour workshops each of the 3 days we were at sea, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. They held nightly swing dances including two nights of dancing under the stars on the open deck. All this dancing helps to wear off all the great food we ate. We took full advantage of sunny skies all seven days and enjoyed a little shopping on St. Thomas and St. Marten.

I urge all of you to take this fantastic ABA Swing Dance Cruise next year. It will be January 27^th through February 3^rd going to the Western Caribbean. I also urge the GLSDC to treat another member with free tickets next year. It was absolutely wonderful and I would not have taken the trip if I had not been the lucky winner. Now I can’t wait to go again! I have already asked my boss to schedule our audit next year for later in February to make it easier for me to go again.

FYI Men… there was a small shortage of men so the ladies were definitely keeping them dancing!!!

Editor’s note: I asked Stuart how the tickets were paid for. He responded:
The club paid for the tickets and gave them away in a drawing as a grand prize at a dance we held last September.
