From the Editor’s Desk
Welcome to the ABA news, communicating with and supporting the member clubs of the American Bop Association. This newsletter is your forum for discussing ABA events, activities, policies, business, the how and why we did that, and just plain old fashioned “pass the word” concerning the ABA and your club.
Topic of the Quarter
For the February issue of ABA news, let’s explore video libraries. I think it would be interesting to know:
| Does your club have a video library? If so... | |
| Does your club loan videos to its members? | |
| Is any cost involved like a deposit or rental charge? | |
| How long is the loan period? | |
| How and who administers the video library? |
So, get your thoughts together and your pencils moving
Thank you in advance for your assistance.
Other Articles
The big story in this issue of the ABA news is the Hall of Fame Induction and the presentation of the George Baer Award for outstanding contributions to the success of the ABA. It is really great to see support and enthusiasm from clubs like Chicago Windy City Jitterbug Club for its members and the American Bop Association.

Chicago Windy City Jitterbug Club holds its banner High
There were 9 ABA club sponsored events listed in the last newsletter for the quarter, however there are only 3 articles in this issue of ABA news. I think it would have been great if we had pictures and a small write-up from each of the 9 events.
The next article provides us with a look into the history of the past 10 years of the The Atlanta Swing Dancers Club. I think it is worth reading. You will probably recognize similar stories within your own club. I found it interesting that that they have life-time members.
The final article is Part 3 of John Hook’s Beach Music History.
