George Baer Award
Outstanding contributions to the success of the ABA

This year’s George Baer Award for outstanding contributions to the success of the ABA was presented to Gary and Charlotte Chaney of Barnhart, MO, members of the South Side Imperial Dance Club.
The award was presented in September at the “Bop on the Lake” ABA convention in Hot Springs, Arkansas .
Gary and Charlotte have been familiar figures on the dance scene for many years and have done countless things to help ABA member clubs as well as Gary’s active involvement in the ABA.
Nearly every ABA club that holds a multi-day annual event has benefited from having them provide workshops and exhibitions, some numerous times.
The George Baer Award was initiated in 2004 and with its first recipient being the Cincinnati Bop Club.
